It’s a story about a girl who’s dealing with the alienation and social pressures resulting from her drug abuse. She’s unable to resist the temptations of her addiction. Her family, peers, and neighbors see her as a threat, pushing her away. Tragically, she prefers it this way.
There is, purposefully, an alternate interpretation: She’s a 1692 Salem witch who is about to be punished for her transgressions.
