fuzzy logic was formed in 1997 by Tod McKenna, John Anglin, Dan Bizzle, and Earl David. There were a few different names in the beginning (The Scene, Syllius Gruv, Plaid Monkey), and a new lineup in the end, when the band broke up for good (Tod, Earl, John and Andy Unger).

Funny quote from the old fuzzy logic website:

“This Rhode Island-based band has been attracting a devoted following with its free-form, psychedelic rock that effortlessly swings from bluegrass to funk to rock. They use a simple formula to create music that is easy to listen to and relates to a variety of people on an intelligent level.”

fuzzy logic had recorded a single demo album, but decided not to venture into the studio again due to the absence of energy only a live show can provide. The band had accumulated more than two dozen live shows, available for B&P.

Why so fuzzy, fuzzy?

One could look at the etymology of our name and wonder, what the heck? The word fuzzy is believed to come from the German word fussig, meaning loose or spongy. The word logic comes from the Latin word logica, and means reason. So, some may call us spongy reason or even fussig logica? To take this pointless gabble a step further, the phrase ‘fuzzy logic’ means something somewhat different. Fuzzy logic is an edgy science dating back to ancient Greek times. Fuzzy logic and similar beliefs have led us to, and given us our first tastes of Artificial Intelligence. Now you know.
